In short

At Roomten a made-to-measure two-piece suit starts from £1,199, and a bespoke two-piece from £2,999. The main things that move the price are the cloth you choose, whether you add a waistcoat or spare trousers, and the level of hand finishing.

Prices in British tailoring vary widely, and the headline figure rarely tells the whole story. Here is how ours is built up and what changes it.

The starting points

  • Made-to-measure two-piece suit: from £1,199.
  • Bespoke two-piece suit: from £2,999.
  • Individual jackets, trousers, waistcoats and overcoats are priced separately — see the pricing page for current ranges.

What moves the price

  • Cloth. This is the largest variable. A dependable English worsted costs a fraction of a superfine or a cashmere blend, and often wears better.
  • Pieces. A waistcoat or a second pair of trousers adds to the total but greatly extends the suit's working life.
  • Details and finishing. Hand-finished edges, functioning cuffs and more elaborate linings all add labour.
  • Construction. Bespoke's handmade floating canvas and extra fitting stages account for most of the difference in price.

Where not to save

If the budget is tight, take a plainer cloth in a classic colour rather than a lighter construction or a rushed fitting. A 280–320g navy or charcoal worsted in a mid-range bunch will out-serve a showier cloth every time.

Getting a firm figure

We quote before anything is cut. Bring the occasion, the budget and how often you expect to wear it to an appointment, and we will put real numbers against two or three options.
